Ashley+Bryden Married • Bloomington, Indiana Wedding Photographer

A while back — like, Octoberish time — Ashley+Bryden threw a little party in Bloomington where they just happened to get married. An even weirder coincidence* is that there was a wedding photographer around to creatively document the day.

This is what happened:

We started at the Biddle Hotel on the IU campus, with the girls getting ready.

Ashley did all her own programs, invitations, even centerpieces (more on those later).

The Tie A Tie app is a life saver.

When we got to the church, Bryden and the guys were ready for their shining moment in front of the camera.

I really liked this dress. (It had pockets!)

Big show in 3, 2, 1...

One of those churches where I couldn't run up and down the aisles shooting, so I hid behind the sanctuary doors.

I got shots immediately before and immediately after someone pegged Bryden in the chest with a bag of rose petals. It looked like it hurt more than you'd think it would.

BIG WEDDING PARTY.

So, yeah, centerpieces. Done by the bride. This wedding was full of win.

The Tudor Room at IU's Memorial Union is a gorgeous room, and a BEAST to light. But that led to some pretty sweet photos.

You may have had to be there to really understand this photo, but it involved some pretty heavy choreography and Jessica Simpson.

And so ended one of the best receptions I've been to all year. It was a great party start to finish, and IU is such a photo-friendly playground. Congratulations to A+B and their families!

*Okay, so it wasn't really a coincidence. I mean, I knew they were getting married, because they told me they were, and then they paid me and signed a contract saying that everything was going to happen. Looking back, it was probably more planned out than I make it sound.
